Okay. So I think it's best to start from the beginning. Just because I think it will give you the best context for my actions.

So I started out the season doing pretty good. I was hitting anything that was getting near the plate and I was flashing some pretty good leather. This is usually not how I start out my softball seasons, but this year had been different.

So you would probably understand that anyone who starts out that hot is going to regress to the mean. So I went into a little bit of a slump. I didn't do horribly I just didn't have something. I tried not to panic, but then it started getting worst. I went 0-12! 0-12! I tried to think about what I was doing that could be used to get myself back on the right track. I started eating the same things everyday before going to the ball field. I tried changing up my warm-up routine, I used different bats; heck I even tried wearing different compressions shorts to see if that worked. None of it did.

So I was heading to my next game and was trying to figure out something new to do in my routine when I accidentally ran through a stop sign. Luckily, no one was around. As I was going through the intersection I freaked out and felt super bad. I mean that's not me. That's not what I do. Plus, I was a bit zoned out which made me more furious with myself.

But here is the weird thing. I got to my game and went 4-4 with a home run. I couldn't believe it.

So my next game the  next week I figured I had to do the same thing. So that's why I ran the stop sign again. I'm sorry. I had to keep my good streak alive. I mean even after I got pulled over I went 3-3 with a double and 3 RBIs.

So your Honor, that's why I think you should rip up this ticket and let me get away with just a warning.
